US: Manufacturers’ and trade inventories were $1,895.4 bln, up 0.4% from Oct 2017

"Advance estimates of U.S. retail and food services sales for December 2017, adjusted for seasonal variations but not for price changes, were $495.4 billion, an increase of 0.4 percent from the previous month, and 5.4 percent above December 2016," the U.S. Census Bureau announced reported on Friday.

Key highlights

Manufacturers’ and trade inventories, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $1,895.4 billion, up 0.4 percent  from October 2017 and were up 3.2 percent from November 2016.

The total business inventories/sales ratio based on seasonally adjusted data at the end of November was 1.33.

The November 2016 ratio was 1.40.
